Throughout our enduring engagement with Ergatta, we developed and upheld a cohesive look and feel across the brand—including game design, menus and navigation, stat tracking/leaderboard visualizations, monthly challenge and achievement badges, and iconography. Of particular personal interest was concepting and art directing Ergatta’s first 3D game complete with avatars, racetrack, environment, and lighting.
Over time, we established and evolved the photographic direction, dictating a visual vocabulary that felt at times warm, filmic, and accessible in a way that felt aligned with the premium quality of the wooden rower and made it easy to place in the home, while maintaining enough edgy, athletic drama to invoke a sense of tech-driven, competitive intensity.
Email campaigns, ads, and other ongoing brand touchpoints allowed let us continuously dial-in typographic flourishes, image treatment, and use of color. We had an especially rewarding experience answering the challenge of bringing in-game and in-product UI to life in out-of-screen contexts.
